Biography

After his degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice Primož Bizjak lived in Madrid until relocating to Munich. His work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions internationally, mostly in Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy, where he participated at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011) and at Isola Mondo, a collateral event of the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009). Some of his recent solo shows include Mudanzas y reflejos, at Tasman Projects in Madrid (2016), Primož Bizjak: The Sava, the Danube, and the Drina, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova in Ljubljana (2015), Dos miradas sobre Venezia, at Istituto Italiano de Cultura de Madrid in Venice (2013), and Second chance – Elbasan, at Torre di Porta Nuova at the Arsenal of Venice (2012).
